Absolutely No Energy!

February 23, 2007 0 comments

Today, I woke up still feeling tired after more than six hours of sleep, and as the day progressed, I discovered that I had no energy at all and got sleepier by the minute. Not only was I tired and had no energy, but later in the evening I felt a bit dizzy. Who knows what's up, but God himself (shrugs). Despite everything, I managed to write the daily update on "As the World Turns" for Soaps.com, cook supper for hubby, and after Survivor went off, I worked on the Coffee Break for Writers e-zine (due to go out Monday). Now, I'm blogging, and I think after this, I'll go to bed and hope and pray that I feel more energized tomorrow.

On another note, spring is fast approaching. I love everything about spring expect for the thunderstorms and tornadoes, and according to the local news, we have some of those severe storms and possible tornadoes headed our way for this weekend. I was actually hoping for a nice, warm weekend, but I guess I'll have to brave what God sends our way.

Well, sorry it's so short, but I think I'm going to hit the sack now. Until next time, never give up on your dreams - work toward them.

Hugs,

A Great Way to Start the Day!

February 14, 2007 0 comments

I walked over to my computer to start my day and received a wonderful surprise! My loving hubby placed over two dozen roses on my keyboard (right where he knew I'd find them). They were beautiful, and a wonderful way to start my day (see the pic above)! The best thing about these roses is they'll never die :) You see, a few years ago I told him I loved flowers and wouldn't mind receiving an arrangement of flowers that wouldn't die. In fact, I told him I would prefer those. And believe it or not gals, I think our men actually do listen to us at times, because he remembered this. Not only will my roses never die, but they look like the real thing. You may not be able to tell it from the picture, but up close you can.

Not only did these roses leave a smile on my face for the rest of the day, but they gave me inspiration too. I have them beside me now and I think it's the perfect spot! Everytime I can't think of the right words to write I look to the roses to help me out, and believe it our not, it does help. I'm so blessed, and I feel like the luckiest woman in the world!

What did your sweetheart get you for Valentine's Day?

Happy Valentine's Day!

First off, I would like to wish you a happy Valentine's Day! Since that's out of the way, I would like to explain why I haven't posted in a while. The reason: seems I caught that nasty flu everyone else has been complaining about, and it pretty much got me down for a couple days. On day one, all I could do was stare at the bathroom walls, and believe me that was no fun at all. As the days progressed, I pretty much stayed in bed or lounged on the couch, because I couldn't keep my head up. Needless to say, I felt horrible! I'm still recovering little by little, but at least I feel a ton better than I did a few days ago.

I hate to report I was unable to finish Danielle Steel's "Toxic Bachelors." Never in my life did I ever think I would say I couldn't finish one of her books. I tried, but I just couldn't do it. I thought about buying another one thinking that maybe she had a bad day when she wrote "Toxic Bachelors," but after I read some of the reviews from her latest books, they weren't too hot either. Therefore, since I needed a good book, I decided to try a new author for once. I read some good reviews about Christie Ridgway's "Not Another New Year's," so I went to my local Barnes & Noble and purchased the book. I've not finished it yet, but I have to applaud the author, because I absolutely love the book! In fact, once I finish this book, I'm going back to Barnes and Noble to purchase another book by this same author. I can hardly wait to put another one of her books in my hands. If you haven't read this book yet, and if you enjoy romance novels, then you have to pick up a copy! Trust me folks, it is definitely a good read!

I'll let you go now as I have a lot of work to catch up on, but I promise I'll blog again soon. By the way, are you reading a book you're finding hard to put down? If so, tell me about it.

Until next time,
Misti Sandefur
